On May 21, a meeting was held at the Ministry of Culture with a group of jubilarian cultural figures.
Publika.az reports that People's Artists - conductor Agha-verdi Pashayev, mugham singer Zümrüd Məmmədova, accordion player Ənvər Sadıqov, actresses Məleykə Əsədova, Şükufə Musayeva, People's Artist Hüseyn Haqverdiyev, and renowned poet and composer Xanım Qarayeva (İsmayılqızı) participated in the meeting.
Minister of Culture Adil Karimi welcomed the guests, congratulated them on their anniversaries, and conveyed his best wishes.
The Minister noted that although National Leader Heydar Aliyev was a great politician and prominent statesman, he always had a special attitude towards culture and literature. During both periods of his leadership of our country, the Great Leader paid continuous attention to the development of culture and cared for creative individuals. "This tradition, laid by the National Leader, is being continued by our respected President Ilham Aliyev and First Vice-President, dear Mehriban Aliyeva. People who contribute to the development of our culture are awarded high state honors, stipends, and prizes. This approach and attention positively impact the activities of creative individuals, and as a result, Azerbaijani culture develops and enriches," the minister added.
Then, Adil Karimi presented the Ministry of Culture's Honorary Diplomas and Letters of Appreciation to the jubilarians, wishing them good health, long life, and success in their endeavors.
Cultural figures spoke, sharing their thoughts on the development of the field and expressing their gratitude for the attention and awards shown.
