Chief Legal Counsel (maternity cover) - Legal Department / Regulatory Support Sector

Location: Baku city

Employment Type: Full-time

Work Schedule: 5 days a week, 8 hours per day, not exceeding 40 hours per week.

Main Job Responsibilities:

• Participate in reviewing legal correspondence, inquiries, and applications received from state bodies/organizations, legal or natural persons, and those sent on behalf of the Company in matters within the sector's competence, ensuring compliance with legally established deadlines, and performing other necessary actions in this regard;
• Continuously monitor legislation and assist in providing information on relevant updates to the sector head;
• Assist in preparing legislative reviews on legislative updates and changes and submitting them to the sector head;
• Prepare and submit to the sector head, upon assignment, references and information regarding the Company's activities in accordance with legislative requirements on various topics;
• Participate in the preparation and refinement of the List of documents intended for inclusion in the Company's work nomenclature;
• Legally review draft IMS documents and various normative documents prepared to ensure the Company's operations;
• Prepare operational orders related to the department's activities;
• Review draft regulatory legal acts and amendments received from state bodies/organizations, and participate in providing proposals and preparing drafts of various regulatory acts, considering legislative requirements and the Company's position;
• Participate in the preparation of statistical and other reports related to the sector's activities;
• Participate in the preparation and continuous updating of various registers to ensure accountability within the sector's areas of activity.

Required Knowledge and Skills:

• Fluent in Azerbaijani, good command of English;
• Knowledge of the Constitution of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Civil Code, Land Code, Labor Code, Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan "On Subsoil", Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan "On Licenses and Permits", and other relevant normative legal acts.

Required Education:

• Higher education (in Law)

Required Work Experience:

• At least 3 years of work experience in a relevant field.
