Planning Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and update 3rd and 4th level project schedules using Primavera P6 software.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly planning reports, labor and equipment histograms, S-curves, and short-term work schedules.
• Monitor actual progress in engineering, procurement, and construction activities.
• Ensure coordination with Engineering, Procurement, and Construction teams to determine activity durations and schedule sequences.
• Compare actual execution status with the approved schedule, identify deviations, and support the development of recovery measures if necessary.
• Regularly update project schedules based on execution status information and ensure data accuracy.
• Collaborate with relevant project stakeholders to ensure timely collection and submission of planning data.

Requirements and Experience

• Higher education in Engineering or a related field.
• Relevant work experience in project planning and scheduling in the oil and gas or construction sector.
• Practical experience in preparing and updating project schedules in Primavera P6 software.
• Experience in preparing and updating 3rd and 4th level schedules, short-term work plans, S-curves, labor, and equipment histograms.
• Knowledge of project planning principles and performance measurement for engineering, procurement, and construction phases.
• Ability to analyze schedule data, identify delays and critical activities, and assess schedule risks.
• Good analytical, organizational, and reporting skills, with attention to detail.
• Ability to effectively coordinate with multidisciplinary project teams and agree on realistic activity durations.
• Good communication skills and ability to work within defined deadlines.
• Knowledge of project schedule development, progress tracking, and schedule control.
