System Integration Engineer (Mid-level)

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, update, and perform daily administration of Windows Server and Linux operating systems;
• Configure, manage, and ensure the stable operation of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and other core infrastructure services;
• Create, configure, manage resources for, and troubleshoot virtual machines on VMware vSphere/ESXi, vCenter, Hyper-V, and other virtualization platforms;
• Monitor physical and virtual servers, system services, and infrastructure components, analyzing performance and availability issues;
• Independently investigate system incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement appropriate solutions;
• Perform integration and technical administration of server, storage, SAN, backup, and virtualization systems;
• Plan and execute the integration of new systems and services into the existing IT infrastructure;
• Oversee the proper functioning of backup and restore processes, conduct recovery tests, and ensure the resolution of malfunctions;
• Analyze connectivity issues for servers and services using TCP/IP, DNS, VLAN, routing, and other core networking principles;
• Monitor and perform initial analytical assessment of system resources, logs, services, and performance indicators;
• Ensure the inventory of the existing infrastructure, and the up-to-date maintenance of technical documentation and system configurations;
• Plan infrastructure changes, participate in change processes, and document implemented changes;
• Work in coordination with network, information security, application, and other technical teams;
• Participate in the technical execution of system integration, migration, modernization, upgrade, and new infrastructure projects;
• Independently plan and execute small-scale technical tasks and assignments;
• Adhere to internal IT security policies, standards, and procedures.

Requirements

Education:

• Higher education in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field.

Experience:

• At least 2–3 years of practical experience in system administration, systems engineering, or system integration.

Technical Skills:

• Practical experience in installing, configuring, and managing Windows Server environments;
• Proficiency in managing and troubleshooting Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy services;
• Practical experience with VMware vSphere/ESXi, vCenter, or Hyper-V platforms;
• Good knowledge of TCP/IP, IP addressing, subnetting, VLAN, routing, DNS, and core network protocols;
• Practical understanding of server, storage, SAN, and backup infrastructure;
• Knowledge and practical experience with backup, restore, and disaster recovery principles;
• Troubleshooting skills in Windows and Linux systems;
• Ability to analyze system logs and monitoring data;
• Experience in investigating infrastructure incidents and applying a root cause analysis approach;
• Ability to prepare technical documentation, procedures, change records, and configuration documents.

Advantages

• Practical experience with VMware vSphere, vCenter, HA, DRS, and other virtualization components;
• Hands-on experience with Veeam Backup & Replication or other backup solutions;
• Work experience with server and storage systems from HPE, Dell, Lenovo, or other manufacturers;
• Basic or practical knowledge of SAN, FC, iSCSI, and storage provisioning;
• Practical experience in installing and managing Linux servers;
• Experience with automation using PowerShell, Bash, or other scripting languages;
• Work experience with Zabbix, Grafana, Graylog, or other monitoring and log management systems;
• Possession of relevant IT certifications from Microsoft, VMware, Red Hat, or others;
• Participation in system migration, virtualization, data center, or infrastructure modernization projects;
• Work experience with ticketing and change management processes.
