Specialist in Internal Control and Compliance (1-year fixed-term contract)

Job Description:

• Planning, execution, and testing of control procedures to assess compliance with the company's internal policies and procedures, as well as applicable legislation;
• Evaluating the effectiveness of the internal control environment, conducting analyses of identified gaps, and providing recommendations for improvement;
• Preparing regular compliance and internal control reports, and presenting the results to relevant internal stakeholders;
• Collecting, analyzing, and documenting information required within the framework of audits, risk assessments, and internal investigations;
• Coordinating the preparation of corrective actions for identified non-compliance and control gaps, monitoring their implementation, and evaluating the results;
• Collaborating with various business units to identify process risks and implement measures to mitigate them;
• Participating in the development and updating of internal policies, procedures, and control mechanisms.

Requirements:

• Education – Higher education (Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field)
• At least 2-3 years of work experience in internal control, compliance, risk management, audit, or finance;
• Fluent Azerbaijani, with business-level English proficiency being an advantage.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially MS Excel;
• Holding ACCA, CIA, CISA, or other relevant professional certifications, or participation in certification programs is preferred;
• Knowledge of internal control frameworks, risk management, and compliance principles;
• Analytical thinking, problem-solving, and risk assessment skills.
