Head of Accounting

Responsibilities:

• Maintain full cycle accounting (payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, taxes, and other general accounting duties);
• Bookkeeping management and qualitative execution and control of accounting and bookkeeping processes in accordance with the company’s policy, local regulations and international accounting standards;
• Prepare, examine, and analyze accounting records and reporting to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards;
• Optimization of the accounting process;
• To ensure timely reflection of accounting operations in the ERP systems of the company;
• Responsible for accurate and timely close of month-end accounts to submit monthly trial balance;
• Monitoring and preparation and submission of all statutory reports;
• Manage local payment process to ensure full compliance;
• Ensure communication with tax authorities, state institutions and other stakeholders;
• Performing other daily accounting tasks as per the requirement.

Requirements:

• University degree in Finance, Accounting and/or other related business disciplines;
• Minimum 5+ years’ experience in full cycle accounting and taxation, preferably in production industry;
• Advanced knowledge of Azerbaijan Tax regulations;
• Strong knowledge of accounting, tax and management accounting processes;
• Solid knowledge and working experience of 1C, SAP, MS Office Programs (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook (advanced Excel is a must));
• Skills in maintaining primary documentation;
• Strong organization skills and attention to detail;
• Analytical mindset, systematic, structured, responsible;
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet the deadlines;
• Problem-solving and decision-making skills;
• Excellent communication, and interpersonal skills;
• Self-motivated, result oriented, honest and an active person with open mind;
• Holding PMS (professional accounting certificate) is as asset.
