Financial Reporting Senior
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Financial Reporting Senior to join our team. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial data while providing essential support in the reporting and analysis of financial information. The successful candidate will lead and guide team members, oversee period end closing activities, and contribute to management reporting and budgeting processes. Your expertise will be vital in facilitating informed decision-making within our organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Control:
- Provide expert guidance and support to team members, aiding them in the execution of their respective roles.
- Lead, coach, motivate, and evaluate your own staff to foster professional development and ensure peak performance.
Period End Closing:
- Record critical financial transactions, including but not limited to Customer Invoices, Payroll Journal Entries, Employee Loans, and Other Current Assets, while ensuring the accuracy and validity of balances at each month end.
- Conduct aging analysis for Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) items to guarantee the balance's accuracy at the close of each month.
- Liaise with the Chief Accountant to validate Tax figures at the end of each month.
- Verify the accuracy of the cash register balance at month end.
- Review all other balances to ensure correct registration by the Bookkeeper.
Management Reporting:
- Perform in-depth variance analysis for Profit and Loss (P&L) and Balance Sheet (BS) items and provide clear explanations for the deviations.
- Conduct budget vs. actual analysis to assess the organization's financial performance against set targets.
- Develop short and long-term cash forecast schedules to aid in financial planning and liquidity management.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather necessary data for reporting purposes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in reporting.
Other Responsibilities:
- Assist the Financial Control team in the preparation of annual budgets, contributing your expertise to the budgeting process.
- Proactively seek opportunities for process improvements and implement changes where necessary to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Stay informed about changes in accounting standards, regulations, and best practices, applying this knowledge to improve financial processes and reporting.
