Marketing and Sponsorship Manager

Reports to: Marketing, Sponsorship and Group Sales Director

Position summary:

  • A Marketing and Sponsorship Manager is responsible for developing and implementing marketing strategies and securing sponsorship deals to support an organization's objectives and enhance its brand visibility. She/He works closely with various internal teams and external stakeholders to drive promotional campaigns, manage sponsor relationships, and maximize revenue opportunities.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies and plans to enhance brand visibility, drive customer engagement, and generate leads.
  • Identify and target key market segments and develop tailored marketing campaigns to reach them effectively.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify new opportunities and stay ahead of industry trends.
  • Collaborate with the creative team to develop compelling marketing materials, including digital content, print collateral, and social media campaigns.
  • Build and maintain relationships with potential sponsors and negotiate sponsorship agreements that align with the brand's objectives.
  • Monitor sponsorship performance, track return on investment (ROI), and provide regular reports to stakeholders.
  • Coordinate marketing and sponsorship activities across various channels, ensuring consistency and alignment with brand guidelines.
  • Developing and managing the marketing budget.
  • Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging marketing trends, and recommend innovative strategies to maximize brand exposure.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong time management and organizational abilities.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business administration, or a related field (a master's degree is a plus).
  • Proven experience in marketing, preferably in a managerial role, with a track record of successful campaigns and sponsorships.
  • Strong knowledge of marketing principles, market research methodologies, and digital marketing strategies.
  • Proficiency in marketing software and tools, including CRM systems, analytics platforms, and social media management tools.    

Personal qualities:

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with sponsors, stakeholders, and team members.
  • Analytical mindset and proficiency in using data to drive decision-making.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple projects simultaneously and meeting deadlines.
  • At least 2 years of work experience as a manager.

Education: Bachelor's or advanced degree in marketing, business administration, communications, advertising, or a related field

Language skills: Fluency in Azerbaijani, Russian and English languages
