General provisions:
- This job description specifies functional duties, rights, and responsibilities of a Senior Petroleum and Well Intervention and Stimulation Engineer.
- Senior Petroleum and Well Intervention and Stimulation Engineer shall carry out duties in compliance with the laws of Azerbaijan Republic, as well as internal orders and policy documents of Company
- Senior Petroleum and Well Intervention and Stimulation Engineer is hired and dismissed as per presentation of a structural head and an order of the Company’s President.
- Senior Petroleum and Well Intervention and Stimulation Engineer reports to the Operations and Subsurface Manager of the Company.
Main duties and functions:
- Evaluating inflow and outflow performance between the reservoir and the wellbore.
- Nodal analysis and computation of well bore pressure gradients – proficiency with PROSPER.
- Advising on work over operations in aging oil and gas reservoirs.
- Designing completion systems, including tubing selection, perforating, sand control, matrix stimulation, and hydraulic fracturing.
- Selecting artificial lift equipment, gas lift, electrical submersible pumps, subsurface hydraulic pumps, progressing-cavity pumps, and plunger lift.
- Selecting (not design ) equipment for surface facilities that separate and measure the produced fluids (oil, natural gas, water, and impurities), prepare the oil and gas for transportation to market, and handle disposal of any water and impurities.
- Working with Reservoir Engineers and Production Geologists in a multi-disciplinary environment.
- Side-track candidate selection and planning.

- Responsible for the proper organization of work and the timely implementation of the tasks set by the department's statute and the management.

- Not passing confidential documents and information to other departments without manager's permission.
- Establish communication with other departments within a company for the implementation of tasks in the scope of activity.
- Report to the Structural head about law infringements and violation of norms in the adopted documents.
Required Skills:
- Minimum 5-10 years of working experience in a relevant field;
- At least a university degree in Petroleum Engineering or Geology and oil industry is required;
- Languages- Azeri (Fluent), English (basic);
- Computer skills – Proficient user of MS Office, Prosper, Mbal, Pipesim, OFM, GeoGraphix;
- Strong verbal and oral communication skills.
