General provisions:
- This job description specifies a Reservoir Simulation and Reservoir Engineer's functional duties, rights, and responsibilities.
- Reservoir Simulation and Reservoir Engineer shall carry out duties in compliance with the laws of the Azerbaijan Republic, as well as internal orders and policy documents of Company
- Reservoir Simulation and Reservoir Engineer is hired and dismissed as per the presentation of a structural head and an order of the Company’s President.
- Reservoir Simulation and Reservoir Engineer reports to the Operations and Subsurface Manager of the Company.
Main duties and functions:
- Establishing optimum development plan for oil and gas reservoirs.
- Establishing analytic and hydrodynamic simulation models for the various flow unit of reservoir.
- Estimating reserves, history matching and production forecasting based on models.
- Analyzing reservoir development plan and based on developed models, establishing development optimization strategies. Determination of the remaining Recoverable Reserves in accordance with SPE or other international Engineering Society (51-101). Maintain annual reserve reports for the PSA.
- Designing laboratory experiments to improve reservoir knowledge and to retrieve additional necessary data, monitoring laboratory measurements and analyzing experiment results.
- Estimating remaining sweet oil-gas spots, speeding up the development process and proposing plans to enhance production.
- Establishing strategies for maintaining reservoir pressure, injection of produced water and implementation of enhanced oil recovery techniques.

Responsibilities:
- Responsible for timely and accurate implementation of work, and performance of department’s assignment and tasks given by the management.

- Observing safety rules while working and on company premises.
- Not passing confidential documents and information to other departments without permission of manager.
- Creating contacts with other structural units within a company for the implementation of given tasks.
- Reporting to the President of the Company when discovering violation of law and norms in the documents used during the working process.
Required Skills:
- Minimum 5+ years’ experience in a relevant field;
- At least a higher education - university degree in geology or petroleum engineering;
- Languages- Azeri (Fluent), English (Basic);
- Computer skills – Proficient user of MS Office tNavigator, Geograpix, Eclipse, OFM, Prosper, MatBal;
- Strong verbal and oral communication skills.
