IT Intern (paid)

Job Description: 

• Supporting company employees with hardware, software, and IT related issues
• Supporting dedicated or virtual server management and setup, web domain, e-mail accounts, log management and analysis
• Supporting the IT team in the office for maintaining hardware, software, and other IT related systems

Requirements: 

• Enthusiasm to learn new skills/technologies and develop continuously
• Knowledge about IT related Server(s), Desktop PCs or Notebooks, Hardware Installations configuration, and troubleshooting
• Knowledge and experience about Software Installation and Configurations (Windows Desktop OS, Microsoft Office etc.)
• Knowledge (and preferably, experience) about Web domains ordering, configuration, and managements (DNS records, Whois setups) 
• Knowledge (and preferably, experience) about Linux or Windows Cloud, Private or Shared Web server order, installation, and configuration (OS, Partitions management, Security settings, Web Servers setup)
• Knowledge about computer networking (basic network configurations, TCP/IP, firewall configuration)
• Preferably intermediate MS Excel skills
• Responsible team player in terms of deadlines and working under pressure
• Team player of high integrity with self-discipline and effective communication skills
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills
• 4th year student or fresh graduate
• Flexible and enthusiastic to relocate to our Malta / Netherlands Office
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related major

Bonus Points: 

• Experience with Nginx, Apache, MySQL and IIS Web Server configuration and optimization
• Experience with Windows Server Systems, CentOS, Ubuntu configuration and optimization
• Experience with Hosting, Cloud Servers or Internet Providers order, setup, and managements
• Experience with Virtualization (preferably vmware esxi)
