Business Studies Teacher IGCSE

We are looking for a dynamic and commercially-aware Business Studies Teacher to join our faculty. The successful candidate will deliver the Cambridge IGCSE Business Studies curriculum, preparing students to understand the purpose of business, human resources, marketing, operations, and financial management in a globalized world.

Key Responsibilities

• Curriculum Delivery: Expertly deliver the Cambridge IGCSE Business Studies (0450) syllabus. Ensure students can distinguish between different sectors, business structures, and stakeholders.
• Case Study Method: Use real-world local and international business case studies to teach students how to apply theory to practical scenarios.
• Financial Literacy: Teach students how to interpret and analyze financial documents, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow forecasts.
• Marketing & Strategy: Guide students in understanding market research, the marketing mix (4Ps), and how businesses adapt to changing consumer needs and legal environments.
• Entrepreneurial Leadership: Mentor students in developing their own business ideas and understanding the risks and rewards of entrepreneurship.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA), Management, Commerce, or Business Education.
• Certification: Valid teaching credentials (e.g., PGCE, QTS, or equivalent).
• Cambridge Expertise: Proven experience in preparing students for the Paper 1 (Short Answer/Data Response) and Paper 2 (Case Study) examinations.
• Language Proficiency: Native or near-native English proficiency. A minimum IELTS score of 7.0 is required, with a focus on business-specific academic vocabulary and report writing.
• Industry Awareness: A strong understanding of current global business trends, digital transformation, and sustainable business practices.

Core Pedagogical Competencies

• Scaffolding for Analysis: Ability to help students move beyond simple definitions to higher-level analysis and evaluation (the key to scoring A* in IGCSE Business).
• Interactive Learning: Proficiency in using business simulations, "Dragon’s Den" style presentations, and collaborative group projects.
• Data Interpretation: Strong skills in helping students extract relevant information from complex business texts and tables.
