DevOps Engineer

Role and Responsibilities:

• Building and implementing new infrastructure
• Understanding the needs of stakeholders and conveying them to project members
• Working on ways to automate and improve development and release processes
• Testing and examining code written by others and analyzing results
• Identifying technical problems and developing software updates and fixes
• Working with business analysts, product owners, and software developers to ensure that development follows established processes and works as intended
• Being involved in project management decisions
• Confer with project managers and network users regularly to clarify needs
• Design, plan and execute integration-related activities
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve problems. Deploy updates and fixes, and provide Level 2 technical support
• Build tools to reduce the occurrence of errors and improve customer experience
• Develop software to integrate with internal back-end systems
• Perform root cause analysis of production errors and resolve technical issues
• Develop scripts to automate visualization
• Design procedures for system troubleshooting and maintenance
• Continually research new technologies and operational opportunities
• Communicate with the team to identify needs, monitor performance, and troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve issues with the systems
• Provide project management on various network activities including upgrades, new implementations, and migrations, with technical direction and user support as needed
• Create, revise, update, and maintain documentation of environment and operational procedures
• Create reports and documentation outlining findings and solutions

Skills and Qualifications:

• Knowhow in any of the following is a plus;
  • Red Hat - Linux
  • DevOps tools implementation, CI/CD
  • Jenkins
  • Nexus
  • Docker
  • Perforce
  • Shell Scripting
  • Weblogic
• 3+ years of experience as a DevOps engineer or in a similar software engineering role
• Infrastructure experience (installation, configuration, and integration) in large-scale enterprises
• Billing, CRM, Rating, Charging, and Provisioning knowledge is a plus
• Bachelor of Science degree (or equivalent) in computer science, engineering, or relevant field
• Good knowledge of English, Russian and Turkish
• Telco experience is a plus
