Product manager

Key accountabilities

  • To implement local product marketing strategy with the line manager and Country Manager and facilitate launch and sales execution as well as follow-up on the marketing programmes with internal stakeholders, working in order to achieve short and long term business objectives.
  • Design and execute the product marketing plan
  • Develop, implement and monitor the annual brand strategy for the brand(s) under responsibility.
  • Optimize the allocation for the promotional brand budget in order to develop and create the needed promotional material.
  • Actively manage the planning and execution of local, regional, national and international events / congresses / symposia relevant for the brand(s) under responsibility.
  • Communicate the marketing programme to internal stakeholders and implement campaigns
  • Communicate product promotions and marketing plans to the sales force to ensure alignment with NN strategy.
  • Drive the implementation of product marketing plan and campaigns. 
  • Consult/collaborate with the medical department to align marketing and medical messages.
  • Maintain and develop relationships with target customers and external stakeholders
  • Develop and maintain contact with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs).
  • Maintain and execute a regular visit plan with target customers in coordination with the Sales force.
  • Make individual regular visit to KOL’s in order to be updated on environment, activities of competitors and getting regular feedback from fields.
  • Coordinate with creative and event agencies to ensure success of promotional campaigns.
  • Purpose and subject of interaction with internal/external customers and key contacts
  • Provide the affiliate management with product and marketing updates.
  • Ensure sales force knowledge and training about product marketing plan and campaigns.
  • Create a mutually beneficial relationship with KOLs and healthcare professionals (HCPs).
  • Represent Novo Nordisk in congresses and company meetings.
  • Challenges with regard to innovation and change
  • Execute counter-strategies in collaboration with the manager.
  • Adapt product strategy to the local patient needs.

Knowledge and competencies

  • Relevant academic degree within medical or business 
  • MBA is a plus
  • English proficiency, both written and spoken.
  • 1-2 years’ experience in the pharmaceutical industry in marketing and product management is preferable
  • Knowledge of the current pharmaceutical / diabetes market situation is preferable
