Job Overview:
The DataOps Engineer will be responsible for optimizing data environment, automating data processes, and enhancing the overall reliability and scalability of data operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operational best practices, automation, and collaborative data management.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain automated tools and frameworks for data operations, focusing on improving the speed and reliability of data delivery.
- Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines for data code, ensuring seamless and error-free deployments of data models and scripts.
- Collaborate with IT operations and development teams to integrate new technologies and methods for real-time data monitoring and quality control.
- Design and operate scalable data operations infrastructure to support data transformation, data structures, metadata, dependency, and workload management.
- Monitor data operations and performance, proactively identifying and resolving bottlenecks in the data pipeline.
- Facilitate rapid data recovery and continuous data availability to meet the needs of business continuity planning.
- Document operational procedures and compliance activities, ensuring that data operations adhere to regulatory and security requirements.
- Champion the adoption of DataOps principles within the organization, promoting a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement across teams.
- Provide expertise and support in resolving high-level operational issues related to data infrastructure and data management.
- Drive innovation in data operations through the adoption of emerging tools and technologies that enhance data velocity and data reliability.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Proven experience in DataOps, systems administration, or a similar role with a strong focus on automation and operations.
- Expertise in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) and automation tools (e.g., Jenkins, Terraform).
- Strong experience with containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Technical skills on data reliability engineering side.

- Familiarity with data governance practices and data quality solutions.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data systems and optimize operations.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
