Datacentre Specialist

Role synopsis:                                      
Datacentre Specialist will be responsible for managing on-site hardware installations, network configurations, and infrastructure maintenance. Work will directly contribute to the efficiency and reliability of our datacenter facilities.
Key accountabilities:

• Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot datacenter infrastructure.
• Install and configure servers, storage systems, and networking equipment.
• Perform structured cabling and maintain cable management standards.
• Support IT teams in resolving hardware and network issues.
• Conduct regular system inspections and preventive maintenance.
• Track and manage inventory for data centre equipment and spare parts to ensure availability and reduce downtime

Required skills:

• Minimum one year of experience in datacentre environments or IT hardware installation.
• Knowledge of network infrastructure, including switches and patch panels.
• Ability to follow safety and quality standards in a datacentre environment.
• Strong documentation and communication skills.
• Preferred Certifications: CCNA, CompTIA Server+, or similar.
