Role Synopsis:
The Senior Commercial Specialist supports strategic procurement initiatives, ensuring project cost control and managing vendor relationships to align with budgetary and project goals. Provides detailed analysis and assists in tendering, negotiations, and contract amendments.

- Provides detailed analysis and assists in tendering, negotiations, and contract amendments.
- Review technical specifications, drawings, and project documents to determine material and equipment requirements.
- Ensure all procured goods and services meet technical specifications, quality standards, and compliance requirements.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to resolve technical issues related to procurement and provide advice on material selection and construction techniques.
- Monitor and control procurement costs, ensuring alignment with the project budget.
- Monitor supplier performance and resolve any contract disputes or issues related to deliveries and quality.
Desired background:
- A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or Quantity Surveying, preferably obtained from an international institution, complemented by hands-on experience with global construction and real estate firms.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively convey information and collaborate with various stakeholders.
- Proficient in assessing the nature of work and demonstrating advanced negotiation skills to achieve favorable outcomes.
- Professional certifications in procurement, such as CIPS or RICS, are highly desirable.
Required skills:
- Expertise in cost estimation, budgeting, and contract management tools.
- Exceptional negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and work efficiently under tight deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in procurement software and MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Fluency in English and Azerbaijani; knowledge of Russian is an added advantage.
