Junior Web Developer

Location: PITS Azerbaijan Office, AF Business House, 203 Nizami St, Baku 1010, Azerbaijan

Working Days/Hours: Monday to Friday, 17:00-02:00 Baku time or 12:00-09:00 Baku time. Work hours can be adjusted to fit academic schedules.

Agreement Type and Pay: Contractor with the US Office, 800 - 1000 AZN net, depending on experience

Job Summary: This position is ideal for students! We are looking for a motivated Junior Web Developer to join our Baku office. This role offers a fantastic opportunity for students and young professionals eager to gain practical experience in web development. We offer flexible working hours to accommodate your academic schedule, making this role perfect for those balancing studies and work. You will have the chance to learn and work on various aspects of web development, including WordPress theme creation, SEO, content management, and development. You will receive training to handle end-to-end tasks, from building and managing WordPress sites to optimizing content and integrating essential plugins.

Responsibilities:

• Participate in developing and managing WordPress sites from scratch, including creating custom themes and ensuring they meet design and functionality requirements.
• Learn and apply SEO best practices to enhance site visibility and performance.
• Manage and update website content effectively.
• Ensure websites are responsive, SEO-friendly, and compatible with various browsers and devices.
• Support the integration of necessary plugins and ensure they work seamlessly with the site.
• Collaborate with the team to align web development work with our brand identity and business goals.
• Continuously learn and apply new web development skills and tools.

Desired Skills:

• Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, and MySQL.
• Familiarity with WordPress theme development and management.
• Understanding of responsive design principles.
• Eagerness to learn about SEO, content management, and other web development tools like Elementor.
• Ability to write clean, well-documented code.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work independently.
• Proficiency in English.

Additional Information:

• This is a contractor agreement with the US company, not a labor agreement.
• You will have 1 hour of break time, which can be split into three breaks.
• Taxes and mandatory payments based on Azerbaijan legislation will be covered by us, including free taxation services.
• You will work the night shift, but we provide fresh coffee and a fridge full of fruits and snacks to keep you energized.
• You will collaborate with team members from the US, UK, and Germany, gaining international experience while working from Azerbaijan.
• This position is particularly well-suited for students, and we offer flexible work hours to accommodate your academic commitments.
