Accounts Assistant

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and process supplier invoices as per the contractual terms, including maintaining a register of supplier invoices received
  • Perform various corporate accounting functions including scanning supplier invoices in K8, journal entries, account reconciliations, variance analysis, and the preparation of monthly reports.
  • Ensure the timely and accurate reporting of all financial information.
  • Reconcile credit card payments on a monthly basis
  • Control intercompany transactions
  • Obtain and maintain a thorough understanding of the financial reporting process and suggest, discuss, and implement improvements where necessary
  • Maintain books, records in compliance with accounting and tax legislation, company internal policies and procedures
  • Maintain reporting for month end closing
  • Timely consolidated monthly bank statements, payments, cash-flow management reporting
  • Respond positively to changes in procedures,processes, responsibilities or assignment for the improvement of the organization
  • Assist to Caspian Business Consultants in any request/document requirement which may raise during transaction processing

General:

  • To be familiar and comply with Company’s financial and budget management standards and procedures
  • Health and Safety policies and procedures 
  • Code of Business Conduct and anti-bribery/anti-corruption policies and procedures
  • To take advantage of staff development opportunities and periodic performance reviews in  accordance with terms and conditions specified by the Company
  • To assist in the day-to-day administrative duties as appropriate and to produce written reports and financial records as required by your line manager
  • To undertake other reasonable duties at the request of the line manager.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Degree in Accounting/Finance/ACCA qualification
  • Min 2 years relevant experience in financial & management accounting 
  • Good MS Office skills particularly strong capabilities in MS Excel.
  • Able to work independently and highly meticulous.
  • Excellent problem solving and organization skills

  • Self-motivated and flexible to work with minimal supervision. 
  • Excellent verbal communication skills in English, Azerbaijani, Russian
  • Able to work as team member
