Senior Accountant Specialist

What is expected from the candidate:

• Reviewing and managing accounts payable and receivable;
• Providing solutions for accounting irregularities;
• Handling general ledger bookkeeping where necessary;
• Preparation of payment and bank documents;
• Planning, assigning, and reviewing subordinates’ work;
• Participating and supporting month-end and year-end closing process;
• Developing and documenting accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls;
• Liaising with financial manager/supervisor to improve financial/accounting and business procedures;
• Performing other accounting duties and supporting junior staff as required or assigned;
• Suggesting ways to improve efficiency of accounting systems and procedures;
• Assisting with tax audits and tax returns.

What qualifications the candidate need to possess:

• Higher education in Economics, Finance and Accounting.
• Experience of working independently in 1C 8.3 program.
• 3+ years' experience of working as an Accounting Supervisor or Senior Accountant.
• Above average Excel skills are an asset.
• PMS certificate is advantage.
• Good knowledge of English and Azerbaijani languages, Russian is an asset.
• Good analytical skills.
• Strong organizational and time management abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
