Financial reporting specialist
Summary:
Financial Reporting Specialist will assist in the preparation of monthly management and external reports by organizing and formatting data, performing relevant calculations and analytics on deviations from budget or comparative period. He/she will ensure proper documentation and disclosure of significant accounting policies and estimates in financial statements. Additionally, he/she will prepare financial statements of respective enterprises – Statement of Profit/Loss, Statement of Financial Position, Cash Flow Statement as well as Change in Equity Statement and other disclosure notes.
Responsibilities:
- Preparation of monthly management reports by organizing and formatting data, performing calculations and analytics on deviations from budget or comparative period.
- Reviewing and reconciling financial reports to accurately reflect the company's financial position
- Collaborating with accounting team to identify and resolve discrepancies in financial records
- Work closely with other departments to ensure effective delivery, resolve issues and put in place process improvements
- Assist in ongoing review and activities to strengthen Reporting Framework, Standards, Requirements, and alignment of respective practices
- Analysis of financial and non-financial data of assets managed by the Company
- Participate in the external audit process and provision of information to external auditors
- Assist senior staff with all reporting related matters as requested
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
- Minimum 1–3 years’ experience, preferably in the Oil & Gas Sector
Any other specific requirements:
- CIA/ACCA/CİMA/CFA certification is preferred
- Proficiency in analyzing financial statements
- Fluent Azerbaijani and English language skills
- Microsoft Office knowledge (Excel-Power Point)
- Detail-oriented and organized
- Strong analytical, presentation and quantitative skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
