Process engineer

Summary:

To carry out the necessary monitoring, analysis and examinations and develop improvement suggestions in order to ensure the continuity and efficiency of activities and to solve problems in the process units, auxiliary units and utility units in which he/she is assigned.

 Responsibilities:

• To perform On-Call duties and responsibilities;
• To carry out duties in his/her field of expertise as assigned by the senior engineer;
• To act in accordance with the corporate policy, mission, vision, values, legal and other requirements, as well as the company`s ethical rules, policies, procedures, guidelines, strategies, and goals; to make sure that relevant rules, policies and other requirements are adopted and disseminated by employees in related positions; to inform the relevant departments in case of internal violations;
• Networks with subject matter experts in other facilities to leverage shared expertise;
• Works in collaboration with specialists and engineers of other disciplines;
• Provide support to and carry out reliability and hazard analysis studies to improve plant safety, reliability, and economics;
• Provide technical recommendations and engineering support, attend and prepare reports during planned unit turnarounds of main process and auxiliary units. This work include work at heights and confined space entry;
• To monitor Catalysis, adsorbent, resin, chemical consumption, and their performance and initiate the process to obtain the required amount when necessary;
• Conduct test runs to optimize process variables and evaluate plant performance;
• Help identify gaps between current performance and best-in-class and recommend opportunities for improvement;
• Performing daily troubleshooting and process optimization for key refinery unit operations;
• Provide process troubleshooting support, make technical recommendations, answer technical inquiries, improve process engineering tools, and develop process procedures.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering;
• Minimum 0-3 years experience in Refinery and Petrochemistry industry;

Any other specific requirements:

• Understanding of technical documents (Process Flow diagrams, Process and instrumentation diagrams, Cause and Effect diagrams, equipment/instruments process datasheets, logic diagrams, equipment mechanical drawings);
• Engineering calculation skills;
• Knowledge of chemicals and catalysts;
• Knowledge of refinery processes;
• Simulation knowledge (HYSYS);
• Microsoft Office knowledge;
• Fluent English and Azerbaijani language skills;
• Communication and presentation skills.
