Principal Designer – I&C

Work Location: Baku

Key accountabilities:

• Establish and maintain effective working relationships and communicate across the project/contract/procurement interfaces
• Contribute to 3d modelling and represent I&C team in Stage 2&3 model review sessions
• Development and review of design deliverables such as Block Diagrams / Loop Diagrams / Termination Diagrams / Layout Diagrams / Cable Schedules / Hook-Up Diagrams / Material Take-off etc.
• Provides technical guidance to less experienced designers
• Understand operating principle of the Field Instrumentation such as: Control valves / Shutdown Valves / Pressure Safety Valves / Flowmeters / Pressure / Transmitters / Temperature Transmitters / Level Transmitters / Switches / F&G Detectors
• Participate in Interdiscipline meetings and act as an initiator to resolve I&C related issues where multi-discipline interfaces are required
• Provide I&C discipline inputs to scope definitions and MDR preparation
• Plans, schedules, and conducts work requiring judgment in the independent evaluation, selection, and adaptation of engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria

Skills and Experience:

• Skills are typically acquired through an undergraduate degree in Engineering and a minimum of 4 years related experience, with average experience ranging from 6-10 years.
