Lead Engineer (with mechanical engineering background)
Role Synopsis: Oversee, analyze, and manage operating companies’ activities within E&P work scope in offshore oil and gas projects from pre-concept stage through to execution and operation.
Monitor the closure of all identified risks in the risk register and proactively search for other areas in the project which may be a risk in the future and lead the risk management activities in the Projects.
Key Accountabilities:
- Provide the lead of the project functions, overseeing the project activities.
- Lead engineering activities associated with the project management including, documentation, specifications, procedures, calculations, reports and drawings.
- Lead engineering expertise to all areas of the project, Feasibility, FEED, Detailed Engineering Design, Execution.
- Lead multidiscipline engineering activities to ensure projects are executed in a safe, efficient, cost effective and timely manner.
- Ensure the project conforms to the applicable regulatory and code requirements.
- Lead the efficient delivery of the project within schedule, cost and quality standards.
- Lead in the identification and resolution of project issues at all the opportunities.
- Lead in the preparation of all project reports, interface definition and management.
Essential experience and job requirements
- Diploma, certificate in Engineering or equivalent certification, BSc, MSc
- At least 5 years’ professional experience in the field
- Excellent understanding of Project Engineering requirements
- Understanding of the Capital Value Process.
- Ability to review technical reports with minimum guidance; Good IT skills using software
- Good capability of reading & understanding technical drawings, P&ID, PFD, diagrams, reports, and other technical documentation
- Good written and verbal communication skills of English
- Good interpersonal skills
- Work requires a degree of analytical, interpretative, and constructive thinking, with a significant degree of evaluative judgment.
- Works in accordance with Company policies, directives, objectives, procedures and international engineering standards.
