Brief Job Description:

  • The Senior Planning Engineer is responsible to support Offshore Asset Management Team in preparation, reviewing and reporting of project schedules.

Job duties:

  • Prepare and review the schedules through the Concept Development to Execute stages of the projects using appropriate scheduling software.
  • Monitor and control planning activities through all phases of project lifecycle
  • Plan, coordinate, and manage all planning and scheduling activities.
  • Identify Critical Path and Sub-Critical Path of Project Schedule
  • Conduct analysis to determine alternative courses of action or recovery on slipped schedules
  • Communicate with engineering, procurement and other functions, and operating companies as required, including third parties, to maintain awareness of project activities, their status, and their impact on the project schedule. 
  • Review and verify relevant WBS fo the pojects with the associated interdependency and logic links between the different WBS elements including major and intermediate milestones
  • Identifying delays, associated root-cause-analysis, identify recovery plans in collaboration with the asset team
  • Participate in sub-committe meetings, workshops and project review sessions
  • Contribute to the preparation of weekly and monthly reports
  • Provide project progress and performance status reports
  • Review and issue updates to project plans and schedules
  • Control and review overall project progress status, achievement of major milestones, and evaluate project performance in relation to planned performance.
  • Attend internal project progress and performance status meetings as required
  • Prepare schedule risk analysis 
  • Review and verify the rig and installation vessels readiness and execution plans in collaboration with the asset team

Additional requirements (education, experience):

  • Engineering diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 5 years in the oil & gas industry incl. experience in project integrated execution schedule development.
  • Experience in Schedule Risk Analysis
  • Familiar with the Interface Management and ability to work on cross-functional and transverse activities.
  • Primavera, Risk Analysis, Progress Measurement, Planning, Interface
