Leading HR and Payroll Specialist
Location: Baku, Head office
Report to: Head of Center of Expertise and HR Operations
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately process salaries, taxes, bonuses, and other payments, ensuring timely completion.
- Verify payroll data, resolve discrepancies, and meet critical deadlines.
- Review payroll processes for accuracy and compliance with organizational policies and legal standards.
- Develop and maintain compensation and benefits policies, including conducting annual salary reviews.
- Manage employee benefits programs (health, life, and disability insurance) in line with legal requirements.
- Calculate and implement performance-based rewards and incentives.
- Prepare HR budgets, salary forecasts, and benefits plans.
- Ensure timely submission of compliance reports to government authorities.
- Track and report employee statistics.
- Update and audit the HR ERP system (SAP) to maintain accurate employee records.
- Collaborate with SAP developers to test and optimize payroll and self-service systems.
- Ensure full compliance with tax, labor, and social security laws and regulations.
- Prepare and present audit reports in alignment with legal requirements.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive employee and company data.
- Address employee inquiries related to payroll, benefits, and taxes.
- Work closely with finance teams to ensure seamless payroll-financial integration.
- Handle EMAS operations and manage salary card processes, including ordering, distribution, and cancellation.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in payroll administration or a related role.
- Proficiency in Azerbaijani and English.
- Strong knowledge of compensation structures, tax laws, benefits, and labor regulations.
- Familiarity with audit processes and compliance reporting.
- Advanced proficiency in SAP S4 Hana, 1C, EMAS, and MS Excel.
- Strong budgeting and reporting skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to handle sensitive financial data with confidentiality;
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills;
- Ability to work independently and within a team;
- Strong organizational skills;
- Strong understanding of core HR processes such as employee onboarding, leave management, and organizational structuring.
