Precision Farming Engineer

Department: Machinery 
Reporting to: Technical Support Manager 
Location: Samukh and Hajiqabul.

Purpose of the role:

• As Precision farming engineer to support machinery departement the digitalisation team to develop and implement farm level Precision Agriculture Farming strategies to increase cost-effective productivity.

Job requirements:

• Work closely with the machinery department and provide assistance through Precision Agriculture Farming data, prescription maps and/or support to ensure smooth execution of plans
• Oversee data collection from machinery and liaise with third parties to ensure data is correctly processed and available to relevant teams in a timely manner.
• Facilitate discussions around the use of Precision Agriculture Farming data at both the farm and group level, and support machinery teams to utilize Precision Agriculture Farming data when making decisions.
• Assist the business analytics team with data insights on farm performance and advise on continuous improvement initiatives.
• Aid with continually improving processes surrounding data collection from the field
• Provide recommendations on the adoption of new technology, including supporting data and financial analysis where appropriate.

Leadership and Engagement:

• Form a strong, collaborative working relationship with the farm manager and agronomic department, work closely together to deliver a consistent approach across all locations
• Mentor and support employees including operators in relation to Precision framing technology.
• Maintain a positive culture towards the adoption of new technologies and systems.
• Attend trainings provided by the company

Required knowledge and skills:

• An understanding of agricultural machinery and its operation. 
• Software programs and data anaylsis. 
• Experience with Precision Ag and Precision Ag computer systems preferred/

Essential requirements:

• Education: Completed an Engineering degree in relavant agricultural subjects 
• Work experience: 1-3 years Experience with Precision Ag computer systems preferred although willingness to develop themselves.
• Language skills: Azeri manadaory, English and Russian essential
• Computer skills: High level of Microsoft

Desirable requirements:

• Presention and leadership skills
• Driving Licence – is an advantage

Additional comments: Expected to work in difficult conditions outside normal working hours. Office and outdoor enviroments.
