Civil Engineer - Construction Supervision

Location: Garadagh Solar PV Plant, Azerbaijan

Job Description:

We are seeking a Civil Engineer to provide construction supervision and support for the Garadagh Solar PV Plant project. The plant will have a capacity of 230 MW and will require a high level of technical expertise and attention to detail.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise the construction of the solar PV plant to ensure that it meets the project specifications and timelines.
• Monitor the quality of the construction work and ensure that all materials used are of the highest quality.
• Work with the project team to develop and implement construction plans, schedules, and budgets.
• Ensure that all construction activities comply with local and international safety and environmental regulations.
• Review and approve construction drawings and designs.
• Conduct regular inspections of the construction site to identify and address any issues or challenges that may arise.
• Coordinate with other members of the project team, including electrical engineers, mechanical engineers, and project managers, to ensure that all aspects of the project are integrated and functioning as planned.
• Manage the construction workforce, including contractors and subcontractors, to ensure that they are working efficiently and effectively.
• Prepare regular progress reports and communicate project updates to senior management and stakeholders.
• Identify areas for process improvement and implement best practices to optimize construction efficiency and quality.

Requirements:

• At least Bachelor's degree in civil engineering.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in construction supervision, preferably in solar PV or renewable energy projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction techniques, methods, and materials.
• Familiarity with relevant industry standards, codes, and regulations.
• Excellent project management skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Proficiency in project management tools and software.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under tight deadlines.
• Fluency in English is required, and knowledge of Azerbaijani or Russian is a plus.
