Electrical Engineer (Supervisor)

Location: Garadagh Solar PV Plant, Azerbaijan

Job Description:

We are seeking an Electrical Engineer (Supervisor) to provide construction supervision and support for the Garadagh Solar PV Plant project. The plant will have a capacity of 230 MW and will require a high level of technical expertise and attention to detail to ensure the reliable and efficient operation of the electrical systems.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise the installation, testing, and commissioning of the electrical systems required for the solar PV plant, including the power inverters, transformers, switchgear, and cables.
• Monitor the quality of the electrical work and ensure that all materials used are of the highest quality.
• Work with the project team to develop and implement construction plans, schedules, and budgets for the electrical activities.
• Ensure that all electrical activities comply with local and international safety and environmental regulations.
• Review and approve electrical drawings and designs.
• Conduct regular inspections of the electrical installation site to identify and address any issues or challenges that may arise.
• Coordinate with other members of the project team, including civil engineers, metal construction engineers, mechanical engineers, and project managers, to ensure that all aspects of the project are integrated and functioning as planned.
• Manage the electrical installation workforce, including contractors and subcontractors, to ensure that they are working efficiently and effectively.
• Prepare regular progress reports and communicate project updates to senior management and stakeholders.
• Identify areas for process improvement and implement best practices to optimize electrical efficiency and reliability.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical construction supervision, preferably in solar PV or renewable energy projects.
• Strong knowledge of electrical engineering principles, practices, and technologies.
• Familiarity with relevant industry standards, codes, and regulations.
• Excellent project management skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Proficiency in electrical design software and project management tools.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under tight deadlines.
• Fluency in English is required, and knowledge of Azerbaijani or Russian is a plus.
