Metal Construction Engineer

Location: Garadagh Solar PV Plant, Azerbaijan

Job Description:

We are seeking a Metal Construction Engineer to provide construction supervision and support for the Garadagh Solar PV Plant project. The plant will have a capacity of 230 MW and will require a high level of technical expertise and attention to detail.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise the construction of the metal structures required for the solar PV plant, including the mounting systems and supports for the solar panels.
• Monitor the quality of the metal construction work and ensure that all materials used are of the highest quality.
• Work with the project team to develop and implement construction plans, schedules, and budgets for the metal construction activities.
• Ensure that all metal construction activities comply with local and international safety and environmental regulations.
• Review and approve metal construction drawings and designs.
• Conduct regular inspections of the metal construction site to identify and address any issues or challenges that may arise.
• Coordinate with other members of the project team, including civil engineers, electrical engineers, mechanical engineers, and project managers, to ensure that all aspects of the project are integrated and functioning as planned.
• Manage the metal construction workforce, including contractors and subcontractors, to ensure that they are working efficiently and effectively.
• Prepare regular progress reports and communicate project updates to senior management and stakeholders.
• Identify areas for process improvement and implement best practices to optimize metal construction efficiency and quality.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in metal construction engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in metal construction supervision, preferably in solar PV or renewable energy projects.
• Strong knowledge of metal construction techniques, methods, and materials.
• Familiarity with relevant industry standards, codes, and regulations.
• Excellent project management skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Proficiency in project management tools and software.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under tight deadlines.
• Fluency in English is required, and knowledge of Azerbaijani or Russian is a plus.
