Electrical Engineer

Location: Baku city, Garadagh region

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Review and check all assigned project electrical installation drawings for  compliance with all company and project instructions (One-line diagrams, electrical equipment location drawings, plan drawings, details, schematics, wiring diagrams, etc.) of technical vendor submittals for installation requirements;
• Determine, understand and define Electrical department responsibilities and workload required for the projects
• Identify and define the project's electrical technical specifications and requirements.
• Review and checking of vendor technical submittals for installation requirements.
• Assist in the development of project schedules and manpower requirements.
• Raise material requisition and follow up to get the required equipment & material in time for ship buiding by coordinating with purchasing &  project departments.
• Plan and execute  the work progressively in the accordance with project schedule
• Ensure that the works quality complies with Classification rules. BSY’s own standard practices and good workmanship
• Coodinate production work with other departments and trades
• Develop test requirements and lead the team for electrical equipment startup and commissioning

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering;
• 2+ years of relevant work experience. Experience in shipbuilding or marine industry is an added advantage.

Requirements:

• Strong understanding of electrical drawings and symbols according to the international standards;
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment;
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to write technical documents clearly and accurately;
• The ability to interface with shipyard engineering and construction activities to develop, install, test and troubleshoot electrical equipment within cost and schedule constraints;
• Capability to work against deadlines and prioritize work assignments accordingly;
• Effective analytical and problem-solving skills;
• Must have computer knowledge in AutoCAD, MS Office;
• Well Knowledge about Electrical principle, Electrical installation works onboard the vessel
• Able to independently manage electrical installation works onboard the vessel
• Good command of spoken and written English.
