Project Cost Control Analyst

The Role:
You will be working in the Finance Department office as the Project Cost Control Analyst. You will have a close relationship with the Operations group to provide detailed financial analyses to the ops team.
Reporting to the Finance Manager
Duties and responsibilities:
- Gather and analyze project financial data
- Preparation invoices for clients, ensuring accuracy to contractual agreements
- Analyze invoices to ensure the correct products/services were received at expected cost
- Analyzing project cost variances (actual vs. budget, vs. forecast, vs. prior year)
- Collaborate with Project Managers to create and manage budgets and monitor expenses
- Suggest cost-reducing or profitable solutions
- Monitoring/control of project costs on a monthly basis and preparing detailed reports (periodically and ad-hoc)
- Assist the Finance Manager with the month-end closing process and making corrections to journal entries for account discrepancies
- Prepares closing journal entries, posts accrual entries, and prepares financial statements
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Finance Manager
Education and experience:
- Bachelor’s degrees or higher in finance, accounting, or a similar field
- At least two years experience in a cost analyst, cost specialist, or similar role
- Knowledge of accounting processes
- Experience in SAP
- Experience in operational and financial analysis
Required skills:
- Good logical and analytical skills
- Excellent computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- English level – Intermediate at minimum
