Deputy head of Low carbon and green business management Department

 

Main job responsibilities:

✅ Conducting research and presenting new business and projects ideas, optimal solutions in order to reduce organization's carbon footprint, while simultaneously attracting additional financial value for the company;

✅ Reviewing information, business or project ideas regarding energy transition and environment provided by the management;

✅ Conducting business correspondence, answering letters, citizen appeals;

✅ Participation in various environmental projects and preparation of project documents both within segment units and other segments and business units;

✅ Participating in meetings on environmental projects;

✅ Playing a bridge role between the company's strategic executives and employees;

✅ Ensuring the implementation of the given strategic decisions;

✅ Allocation of resources, distributition of the budget correctly, and monitor performance indicators;

✅ Compliance with SOCAR's internal corporate and workplace safety regulations;

 

 

Job requirements:

✅ Bachelors in Business Administration, Economics, Environmental Science or other related fields. MBA is an advantage;

✅ Relevant work experience - 5 years, management experience - at least 3 years;

✅ Basic understanding of energy transition, renewable energy, waste manegement topics;

✅ Demonstrate awareness of SOCAR Group structure (international presence) and business activities, SOCAR's climate ambition (including short- and long-term commitments), renewable energy projects;

✅ Advanced business and managerial skills, environmental knowledge is desirable;

✅ Computer skills;

✅ Analytical mindset;

✅ Fast learner, ability to work with tight deadlines;

✅ Independent online research and summary preparation;

✅ Preparation and delivery of presentations;

✅ Azerbaijani, English - excellent, Russian - basic (spoken);

✅ Financial modelling skills is an advantage;

✅ PMP certificate or ACCA/CPA licences is an advantage.
