Mechanic

As a Mechanic, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and servicing various mechanical equipment and systems associated with drilling fluids and waste management. The ideal candidate should possess strong mechanical maintenance skills, with a specific focus on servicing diesel and electrical air compressors, air driven pumps, and electrical pumps. Additionally, familiarity with waste management equipment is highly desirable. This role may occasionally involve offshore assignments.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform servicing, maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs of diesel and electrical air compressors, air driven diaphragm pumps, and electrical centrifugal and feed pumps, centrifuges, Verti-G cuttings dryers, shakers, de-gassers, r-valves, 
  • Conduct routine inspections, diagnose malfunctions, and promptly address any equipment issues to minimize downtime.
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to ensure optimal performance and efficiency of waste management equipment.
  • Utilize specialized software and tools to analyze Waste management equipment working parameters and performance of the waste management equipment, such as, G-force of the shale shaker and etc.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices related to Waste management and solids control systems
  • Adhere to safety protocols, maintain a clean and organized work area, and report any safety concerns or incidents.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment repairs, and spare parts inventory.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless workflow, effective communication, and timely completion of tasks.

Requirements:

  • Excellent command of English, both written and verbal.
  • Degree in engineering or a relevant field is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) applications.
  • Strong discipline and attention to detail.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in mechanical maintenance, preferably in the oil and gas industry.
  • Familiarity with operation principles of Waste management equipment
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and communicate technical information clearly.
  • Willingness to occasionally go offshore to support drilling operations.
  • Offshore experience is advantageous.
