Tools Technician

As a WP Workshop Technician, you will play a crucial role in our operations, ensuring the smooth functioning of our equipment and systems. Your responsibilities will include working with the bp SAP system for loading out, utilizing bp Crossovers, operating torque machines, and effectively directing the load into the jaws using a bank slinger. Your attention to detail, technical expertise, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment will contribute to the success of our projects and the satisfaction of our clients.

Responsibilities:

• Utilize the bp SAP system to manage loading out processes efficiently.
• Work with bp Crossovers to ensure proper equipment compatibility and functionality.
• Demonstrate experience and proficiency in operating torque machines and skillfully grabbing loads with the jaws.
• Utilize a bank slinger to direct the load accurately into the jaws, ensuring safe and efficient operations.
• Prepare accurate reports and documentation related to equipment performance, maintenance activities, and inventory management.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure adherence to safety protocols, environmental regulations, and quality standards.
• Stay updated with industry trends and technological advancements related to drilling fluids and wellbore productivity, incorporating relevant knowledge into daily operations.
• Assist in training and mentoring junior technicians, sharing expertise and best practices to enhance overall team performance.

Requirements:

• Excellent command of English, both written and verbal.
• Degree in engineering or a relevant field is preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong discipline and attention to detail.
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience, preferably in the oil and gas industry.
• Familiarity with drilling fluid systems and associated equipment is highly desirable.
• Previous experience and comprehensive knowledge of working with the SAP system.
• Proficiency in handling and utilizing crossovers effectively.
• Demonstrated experience operating torque machines and safely grabbing loads with the jaws.
• Familiarity with using a bank slinger to direct loads into jaws accurately.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and communicate technical information clearly.
