Leading Lawyer
Job responsibilities:
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and other legal documents;
- Provision of legal expertise for the documents with respect to compliance with existing legal requirements and possible legal risks;
- Secure compliance of the activities of the organization with relevant laws and regulations;
- Provide legal advice and support to structural units of the organization;
- Review contract terms and conditions and make sure that they comply with state laws and company policies.
- Identify legal issues within the business and provide legal analyses and possible legal solutions;
- To support researching current and potential legal risks,
- Analyze, research, and summarize legal information;
- Support in the preparation of tender documents;
- Knowledge and working with PSA contracts;
- To represent the company in the courts and other state bodies;
Required Background, Skills, and Knowledge:
- Bachelor’s degree in law;
- At least 5 years of corporate law experience;
- Fluency in Azerbaijani, English, and Russian;
- Good knowledge of MS Office;
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and relational skills;
- Analytical and problem-solving skills;
- Ability to work under strict deadlines and in stressful conditions;
- Attentive to details;
- Experience in applying for exemption certificates from TAX and Custom Authorities in the frame of PSA contracts (mandatory);
