Deputy Head of Legal Department
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Deputy Head of Legal Department who will support the organization’s legal operations, ensure compliance with internal and external regulations, and assist in the drafting, reviewing, and negotiation of complex agreements. The ideal candidate will work closely with state authorities and external partners, coordinate legal aspects of investment projects and production sharing agreements, and contribute to corporate governance processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in managing and improving daily operations of the Legal Department;
- Draft, review, and ensure the legal compliance of contracts, internal documents, and regulatory filings;
- Coordinate and respond to legal inquiries from governmental bodies and external stakeholders;
- Support corporate governance initiatives and compliance activities;
- Provide legal opinions on various internal documents and strategic initiatives;
- Conduct legal analysis and contribute to the preparation of corporate regulations and policies;
- Monitor international legal practices and propose improvements;
- Fulfill additional legal tasks assigned by the management.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Law (mandatory);
- Minimum 2 years of professional legal experience
- Candidates who are 24-32 years old
- Completed military service (for male candidates);
- Fluency in Azerbaijani and English; good proficiency in Russian is preferred;
- Strong command of Microsoft Office programs;
- Excellent analytical skills, responsibility, initiative, flexibility, and problem-solving abilities;
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
