IT Technician
Job Overview: IT Technician provide technical support and assistance to the media production team, ensuring the smooth operation of digital media equipment and software. This role involves troubleshooting technical issues, maintaining media production systems, and supporting content creation workflows.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical assistance and troubleshooting support to media production staff for hardware, software, and networking issues.
- Respond to help desk tickets and service requests in a timely manner, resolving issues efficiently to minimize downtime.
- Install, configure, and maintain digital media equipment, including cameras, audio recording devices, video editing workstations, and media servers.
- Perform regular maintenance and upgrades to media production systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- Install, update, and configure software applications used in media production, such as video editing software, graphic design tools, and media management platforms.
- Troubleshoot software compatibility issues and provide guidance on best practices for software usage.
- Manage media files, assets, and project files, ensuring proper organization, storage, and backup procedures are followed.
- Assist with file transfers, transcoding, and format conversions as needed to support content creation workflows.
- Assist with the setup and configuration of network infrastructure for media production environments, including wired and wireless networks, routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Troubleshoot network connectivity issues and optimize network performance for media transfer and streaming.
- Assist with the procurement of digital media equipment, software licenses, and technical supplies.
- Maintain accurate records of equipment inventory, serial numbers, and warranty information.
Qualifications:
- Education: Associate degree or technical diploma in Information Technology, Media Production, or a related field. Relevant certifications or specialized training are a plus. - Experience: - Previous experience providing technical support ( preferred working in the media company and media equipment such as a film studio, television station, or digital media agency) at least 1 year
- Familiarity with digital media equipment, software tools, and production workflows.
- BASIC ENGLISH FLUENCY,both written and spoken.
Skills:
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues quickly and effectively.
- Proficiency in operating digital media equipment, audio/video editing software, and media management tools.
- Knowledge of networking principles and protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VLANs. Personal Attributes:
