Job dimensions:

JOCAP is a non-profit Joint Operating Company established in 2018 and equally owned by partners SOCAR Absheron (SOA) 50% and TotalEnergies EP Absheron B.V. (TEPAb) 50% for the development and production of the Absheron offshore block.

The Absheron block is located offshore Azerbaijan in the Caspian Sea, about 100km southeast of Baku and 33km south of Oil Rocks production and processing facilities, at the water depth of 500m.

Absheron development reference agreements are PSA, JOA and addendums.

Phase 1 data:

• The studies for the next stage of Development are ongoing and targeting a FID in late 2024.
• Additional production of 11.3 MSm3/d of gas with 3 additional wells
• Drilling campaign of about 900 days with DRILLEX around 700 MUS$. Rig and LLI contracts place in 2024.
• Subsea completion budget is estimated at ~100MUS$ for the campaign.
• Subsea completion team will be up to 7 persons during operational phase.

Activities:

The job holder’s overall responsibility is to control the effectiveness of engineering design, procurement process in agreement with technical referential in order to allow for the safe completion operation on FFD/Phase I using the best work practices, with the objective of remaining within the agreed Budget and Schedule.

Key activities:

• Ensure HSE targets are met during Completion, Subsea, Intervention and Testing Operations.
• Perform QHSE audits in Completion/Subsea/Intervention Contractors' base.
• Based on Drilling timing and in close coordination with PSC, lead contractual process for Completion / Testing / Subsea services and long lead items. During manufacturing stage, be a strong actor in QA/QC process. Participate FAT and integration test for relevant equipment
• Follow-up and keep track of Subsea / Completion / Testing expenditures and ensure costs stay within AFE. If not inform hierarchy and provide explanations to partners.
• Organize SQM with Completion / Subsea / Testing services Providers at the end of the Operations.
• Prepare Costs summary at the end of the Operations.
• Check QAQC procedures for Completion/Subsea/Intervention equipment preparation before mobilization to the Rig.
• Prepare Completion / Subsea / Testing program and guidelines and ensure CMS is followed.
• Ensure primary objective of Well productivity is met.
• Ensure secondary objective of Well delivery performance is met.
• Prepare Handover dossier (Completion/Subsea part) for Field Operations.
• Coordinate Rig upgrade for Completion / Subsea / Testing / Well intervention operations.
• Ensure Program is followed up and any deviation captured through a Management of Change dossier.
• Provide technical expertise for Completion/Subsea/Intervention subjects to Rig Superintendent to troubleshoot operational issues to minimize NPT during Operations.
• Prepare End of Well Report for Wells and Handover dossier for Field Operations for Subsea/Completion/Testing operations.
• Prepare Return of Experience to capture highlights/lowlights of the Operations (from Engineering to Handover).

Detailed activities:

• To adopt and demonstrate an exemplary behaviour with regard to HSSE, to implement HSSE rules and requirements within his area of responsibility   -  C
• Using JOCAP rules and procedures and best work practices, establish and maintain a set of specific procedures complying with main agreements signed (PSA / JOA), to cover the co-ordination and control of activities   -  C
• Actively contribute in contracting and procurement process for Completion/Subsea related services and equipment.   -  C
• Lead detailed engineering to allow diligent start-up including rig preparation and FAT/FIT   -  C
• Participate in project reviews (HAZOP, HAZID, DWOP, CWOP,...). Lead Complete Well On Paper   -  C
• Review engineering work in detail for complex issues which may jeopardize the operability or OPEX of the Absheron project.   -  C
• Participate in the Efficiency Improvement Initiative process   -  C
• Define and initiate required studies related to Subsea Production System commissioning and operations activities   -  C
• Act as an active member of the collaborative team in order to support operational team   -  C
• To participate in the preparation and participate when requested (as required) to all required Workshops / Committee meetings with Service Provider(s), Authorities, Partners, and Stakeholder…   -  B

Required Competencies:

• Level / Diploma: Engineering
• Professional Experience: more than 15 years of experience in Completion and Subsea engineering both during project preparation and execution phase and with former leadership position.
