Senior Rig Electrician

Job objective
To ensure proper operation and repair of all electrical equipment; to properly order electrical spare parts based on the timely issued orders and their timely delivery to the users; to perform with high quality the planned-preventive service and repair works;
Be fully aware of the Procedure for preventive maintenance, inspection and test programme (PMITP).
Key accountabilities
- To safely carry out work functions in the main area of operations and in case of necessity including vessels, shores and all areas where the company operates;
- To ensure timely technical maintenance and repair of all electrical equipment ;to investigate failures and to present reports with actions on eliminating these failures;
- To approve control-preventive programme of the repair group; and to implement the requirements of the procedures based on the instructions given by the supervisors;
- To ensure compliance by the third group personnel, including all operation engineers,to the requirements of safety procedures;
- To prevent the electrical equipment insulation resistence go below the norm; to ensure timely check of the earthing resistence; to ensure preparation of necessary protocols;
- To ensure conduction of testing works for the purpose of verifying suitability of the equipment on any sites;
- To perform checking for the purpose of determination of the technical condition of the electrical equipment that comes into the warehouse,comes from the platforms and is returned from the repair;
- To plan technical maintenance and repair works in the way to reduce the impact on the drilling operations and to implement technical maintenance tasks by the computerized technical maintenance system;
- To inform supervisor about any unproper supply of the electrical equipment;
- To report about the status of the spare parts and tools for the purpose of preserving the condition of the electrical equipment;
- To put forward rational recomendations for the protection of drilling tools and units;
- To advise about changes in the system or in the procurement methods for the purpose of strengthening the supply chain or system safety,developing the drilling performance or complying with the determined norms and regulations;
- To implement the tasks based on the operational requirements, as a member of the technical maintenance team;
- To provide the onshore engineers with the information about the activities of the technical maintenance team;
- To participate ,if necessary,in the divisional meetings and additional training courses;
- If necessary, to revise drawings or information related with the procured products;and to report about it to the supervisor;
- To ensure completeness of the information lists,for example, Technical maintenance/Repair/Replacement work cards,which are part of Technical Integrity division reporting system;
- If necessary, check the records and information on purchased products and report to the supervisor about it;
- Ensure the integrity of data lists,ex. Technical service/repair/displacement business cards;
- Responsible for the provision of all Electrical maintenance, repair and overhaul as dictated by SAP PM- also support for rig maintenance personnel throughout COMPANY operations;
- 21) In-line with API standard and country legal documentation,implements,inputs,controls,reviews and maintains the reliability of all Electrical related equipment;
- Liaise with Drilling Operations (onshore and offshore)and designated Rig Manager to ensure Electrical activities are planned and coordinated effectively;
- Assists as required with any shut-down,planned stoppage and maintenance work scopes.Develops plans and engages with relevant personnel;
- Assist with the onshore and offshore maintenance teams engagement in lateral learning and lessons learned bulletins;
- Assist with the control and implementation of commissioning,testing andhand-over certification documentation transfer between Operations and Maintenance;
- Replaces Maintenance Supervisor when required and confirmed by Senior Toolpusher;
- The platform power engineering units,electronic adjustment units;to control generator load , working regime of the electric equipment during drilling and tripping operations on the wells,to control the working regime of all of electrical equipment supporting mechanisms,and lighting;
- Responsibility over RREP/NPT (Rig Repair /Non Productive Time) directly attributed to Electrical maintenance and repair failures/activities;
- Assistance with SAP PM data input for related equipment;
- Delivery of Offshore Maintenance,reports,data collation,record keeping.

Competency requirements
- 5 years of experience in a relevant field and position
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree or equivalent education
Skills:
- Technological literacy, including MS Office, Zoom, SAP etc.
- English language skills are preferred
- Awareness and advanced knowledge about HSE standards
