Energy Advisor

Job overview:

• To support our growth, we are seeking candidates with a strong interest in energy efficiency. The position involves providing advice to companies or government agencies on reducing energy consumption and improving sustainability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Energy Audits and Assessments: Perform energy audits and assessments for industrial, commercial, and residential clients to identify opportunities for energy savings and efficiency improvements.
• Energy Efficiency Projects: Develop, design, and implement energy efficiency projects and programs, including retrofitting, optimization, and energy management systems.
• Technical Analysis and Optimization: Perform technical analysis of energy consumption data, identify inefficiencies, and provide solutions to optimize energy use and reduce costs.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, clients, and external partners to develop and implement energy efficiency strategies and solutions.
• Policy and Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with local, regional, and international energy efficiency standards and regulations. Provide guidance on energy policies and best practices.
• Monitoring and Reporting: Develop monitoring and verification protocols to track the performance of energy efficiency measures and prepare reports to demonstrate energy savings and environmental impact.
• Technology Implementation: Stay up-to-date with the latest energy efficiency technologies, tools, and techniques, and evaluate their applicability to different projects and clients.
• Capacity Building: Provide training and capacity-building sessions for stakeholders on energy efficiency practices, technologies, and strategies.
• Data Management and Documentation: Prepare detailed technical reports, documentation, and proposals for energy efficiency projects, including feasibility studies, cost-benefit analysis, and technical specifications.

Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Energy Management, Mechanical Engineering,
• Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Master’s degree or additional certifications in energy efficiency, sustainability, or environmental management is a plus.
• Experience: 3-5 years of experience in energy efficiency, energy management, or related fields, with a focus on designing and implementing energy efficiency projects.

Technical Skills:

• Strong understanding of energy management principles, energy auditing, and optimization techniques.
• Experience with energy simulation and modeling software (e.g.,RETScreen, EnergyPlus).
• Knowledge of HVAC systems, lighting, insulation, and industrial processes related to energy efficiency.

Regulatory Knowledge:

• Familiarity with energy efficiency standards, regulations, and policies, particularly in Azerbaijan.

Communication Skills:

• Excellent written and spoken English. Ability to present technical information to various stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.

Analytical Skills:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret energy data and develop actionable insights.

Project Management:

• Experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously, with strong organizational and coordination skills.

Team Player:

• Ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary and multicultural teams.

Adaptability:

• Willingness to learn and adapt to new energy efficiency technologies, methodologies, and industry trends.
