Contracts Engineer
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Contracts Engineer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the contractual aspects of our projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and company policies, and optimizing contract performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Contract Management:
- Prepare, review, and negotiate contracts for projects, services, and procurement.
- Ensure all contracts comply with company policies, legal requirements, and industry standards.
- Maintain and manage a comprehensive contract database as well as unit rates, manhour rates etc.
Claim Management
- Define claim conditions clearly in contract
- Work together with project team to identify and prepare claims in ongoing projects
Risk Assessment and Mitigation:
- Identify potential contractual risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Conduct thorough risk assessments for new and existing contracts.
- Provide recommendations to minimize exposure and enhance contract terms.
Vendor and Stakeholder Coordination:
- Liaise with vendors, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure contract compliance and performance.
- Address and resolve contractual issues and disputes effectively.
- Foster strong relationships with all parties involved to facilitate smooth contract execution.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain up-to-date records of all contract-related documentation.
- Generate regular reports on contract status, performance, and compliance.
- Provide detailed analysis and recommendations to senior management.
Contract Review and Improvement:
- Review existing contracts to identify areas for improvement and efficiency.
- Implement best practices in contract management and ensure continuous process enhancement.
- Stay informed about industry trends and legal developments to ensure contracts remain current and compliant.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree. (Engineering is an advantage)
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in contract management, preferably within the oil and gas, energy production and construction sector.
- Strong understanding of contract law, industry standards, and best practices.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- High level of attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple contracts and projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in contract management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Additional Information:
- Salary: 3000 AZN per month
- Company-provided lunch and transport services.
- Working hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 - 17:00
