Junior Procurement Specialist

 Type of contract: Full-Time

Position in the organizational structure: Attached to the Finance department of the French-Azerbaijani University (UFAZ), under the supervision of the Procurement Manager of UFAZ.

Starting date: As Soon As Possible 

Key Responsibilities:

• Gather, prepare and issue final purchase orders based on demands of the departments, work with end users of UFAZ to clarify their needs and requirements to goods and services;
• Prepare proposals, request quotes and negotiate purchase terms and conditions;
• Monitor supplier performance and resolve issues and concerns;
• Control purchased items and plan purchasing process in accordance with stock needs;
• Collaborate in defining project vendor list;
• Issue periodic reports and/or request on progress of activities;
• Perform other related duties as assigned by the Head of department.

Requirements:  

• Minimum of a master’s degree related Procurement, Business Administration and Finance, or a relevant field. Be aware of current procurement-related legislation of Azerbaijan Republic;
• 1+ year experience in relevant field;
• Fluent written and spoken Azerbaijani. Advanced level in English, with strong communication skills;
• Advanced office computer programs skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.);
• To be motivated, proactive, self-sufficient, and able to collaborate effectively within a multi-national team;
• An experience of working with governmental bodies relevant to the position’s profile is an advantage.
