Process Engineer
Responsibilities:
Assessing process risks, and working to eliminate, reduce and mitigate these risks to ALARP requirement.
- Ensure that all company safety processes, rules and policies are implemented and respected.
- Prepare the discipline Project Design Basis.
- Review and approval of the detailed design deliverables from project engineering contractors including but not limited to design criteria, system design philosophies, P&IDs, calculations, Heat & Mass Balance report, process equipment datasheets, control and operating narratives, control valve and PSV sizing, cause & effects charts, and specialist process such as AIV, Dynamic Simulation and Flow Assurance.
- Provide input to QRA’s and SECE performance standards.
- Attend HAZOP / HAZID / SIL and other safety reviews.
- Review of Plot Plans, Area Arrangements & 3D Models
- Prepare / review process input to tender submissions.
- Input to Material Selection studies.
- Support procurement with technical analysis and vendor selection for safety equipment.
- Review supplier documentation for compliance with project/international specifications and standards.
- Respond to technical queries from contractors/suppliers.
- Ensure technical process engineering standards are maintained and adhered to on all project delivery elements.
- Review and control of design scope changes.
- Provide engineering support to construction team during plant installation and commissioning.
- Prepare progress reports, including listing achievements and highlighting issues as required.
- Work closely with other contractors, other disciplines, and Project Managers to ensure that project objectives are met in a timely manner.
- Ensure compliance and take initiative for safety and environmental aspects.
- Provide input into project scopes of work including preparation/review of man-hour estimates.
- Review of contractor/vendor Master Document Registers
- Ensure interaction with other disciplines for all interfaces and effectively co-ordinate process engineering activities with the various project stakeholders.
- Ensures all discipline work is executed in accordance with the project quality requirements.
Ideal candidate profile:
Minimum 4 years in process engineering field in the oil and gas or chemical industries
- Proven competency in upstream process Engineering, preferably with some international EPC and consultancy experience.
- Major Project Detailed Design experience.
- Commissioning and Operational experience would be beneficial.
- Have an excellent command of English, Azerbaijani,
- Be self-motivated and possess strong interpersonal, organizational and analytical skills
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask in a highly dynamic environment
- Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning
