Performance analyst
Summary
Conducting detailed performance analyses, identifying trends and inefficiencies, and providing actionable recommendations to improve portfolio outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Collect, analyze, and interpret performance data across the entire project portfolio, including metrics on scope, schedule, and costs.
- Validate the accuracy and completeness of collected data, addressing any discrepancies and inconsistencies.
- Create, maintain, and distribute comprehensive performance reports for senior management and stakeholders.
- Identify portfolio-level trends, issues, and areas for improvement based on comprehensive data analysis.
- Provide insights and recommendations to optimize portfolio performance and achieve portfolio objectives.
- Compare project and portfolio performance against industry benchmarks and best practices.
- Identify performance gaps and areas for improvement, providing actionable recommendations.
- Analyze historical performance trends to predict future project and portfolio outcomes.
- Identify and assess portfolio-level risks and develop mitigation strategies, monitor, and report on risk status across the portfolio lifecycle.
- Ensure all analyses and reports comply with organizational policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Support governance processes by providing accurate data and insights for decision-making.
- Respond to ad-hoc requests for performance analysis and reporting from senior management and stakeholders.
- Provide timely and accurate information to support strategic decision-making and problem-solving.
- Participate in cross-functional initiatives to support overall portfolio performance improvement.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in performance analysis, data analysis, project management, or a related role within a complex industrial environment, preferably in oil & gas.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Data Science, Statistics, Project Management, or a related field.
- Master's degree in relevant fields will be an added advantage.
- Knowledge of and experience in Portfolio/Program/Project Management methodologies
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, JIRA) and data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Tableau, Power BI).
- Ability to work in a changing environment, evaluate priorities, and modify work plans as necessary
- Advanced Excell and other data management tool skills
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
- Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary and multi-task work environment
- Possession of any of the PgMP, PMI-PBA, PMP certificates will be an added advantage.
- Proficiency in English, Russian and Turkish will be an added advantage.
